Phronesis was founded by Marc Bishop MCIPD, an HR professional and entrepreneur with more than 25 years' experience helping organisations navigate complex people and employment challenges.
Marc holds an Executive Master's Degree in Strategic Human Resource Management from Kingston University and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (MCIPD). Throughout his career he has held senior HR leadership roles with organisations including Lloyds TSB, Centrica (British Gas), Reuters and British American Tobacco, before founding and growing several successful HR and business consultancy companies.
Having spent decades advising businesses of all sizes — from SMEs to multinational organisations — Marc recognised that many smaller employers simply couldn't access timely, affordable HR expertise. Phronesis was created to bridge that gap by combining responsible AI with professional HR knowledge, robust governance and access to experienced human advisers when needed.
